There are 3 city centers driving the city's economy:

A subsidy to cover the amount of fixed assets tax and city planning tax (up to 500 million yen/year for 5 years) relating to the acquisition of land, buildings and depreciable assets.
A subsidy of up to 600,000 yen for each employee living in the city or moving into the city.

A subsidy to cover 1/2 of the rent (up to 10 million yen for a year) and the amount equivalent to the local corporate tax (up to 5 years) for companies establishing businesses.

The city provides generous subsidies for companies in the following three industries designated by the city government.

Chiba City was designated as a National Strategic Special Zone in January 2016 and has engaged actively in drones and personal mobility to promote new business startups and the enhancement of advanced technology industries.
To this end, the city government provides extra subsidies to companies that fall under the category of industries related to national strategic special zones (drone-related, personal mobility, etc.).
