Government Support

The Japanese government sets up Invest Japan Offices in relevant ministries and agencies to respond to individual inquiries from foreign companies.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Support

As the first of its kind in Japan, the Center unifies the procedures for foreign companies and start-ups to complete establishment of a business. Through face-to-face service provided by staff members or experts who are familiar with administrative procedures, the center helps facilitate the prompt completion of various filing procedures required for company establishment and starting operations, including those for certification of articles of incorporation, company registration, taxes, pension/social insurance, and immigration. In response to a company’s requests, the center also provide multilingual interpretation and translation services.

The Center sets up the "Business Development Center Tokyo" where bilingual counselors provide services such as business matching and living support for foreign companies seeking to develop their business in Tokyo. In addition, the "Tokyo Employment Consultation Center" supports foreign companies and new business operators to accurately understand Japanese employment regulations and smoothly develop their businesses.

Under the National Strategic Special Zones Council, the Japanese government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government set up the Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center on the 7th floor of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Head Office, and started the service on April 1, 2015. On the same floor, JETRO’s "Invest Japan Business Support Center" (IBSC) is set up. Therefore, foreign companies carry out all preparations and procedures for starting a business in Tokyo on the 7th floor of JETRO’s Head Office.

If you are going to set up business in Tokyo, please use this Center.
