The primary industries of Ishikawa Prefecture are machinery, textiles, and foodstuffs. The sectoral ratio of the value of manufactured goods' shipments in fiscal 2019 was 70.1% for machinery, 6.3% for textiles, and 6.2% for foodstuffs. Many companies command the highest market shares in Japan. They manufacture world-class, high-quality products, such as displays, PC peripherals, bottling machines, machining tools, and textile machines.
In recent years, the IT-related industry has made remarkable progress. In the information service industry, Ishikawa Prefecture ranked nation's sixth in per capita number of business establishments, seventh in per capita number of workers, and fifth in per capita sales.

Loan Periods: up to 10 years or up to 15 years (including a grace period of up to two years)

Ishikawa Prefecture's information service industry ranks the nation's sixth in per capita number of business establishments, seventh in per capita number of workers, and fifth in per capita sales. The prefecture has a cluster of world-leading IT-related companies, including I-O Data, a PC peripherals manufacturer with one of the largest domestic shares of HDD, USB memory, etc., PFU that commands the largest share in the world market for industrial image scanners, and EIZO Corporation globally renowned for high-resolution medical displays, PC displays, etc.)

Ishikawa has an abundance of nature and offers various leisure facilities and hot springs with well-established cultural and medical care facilities. The downtown area of Kanazawa City provides the most excitement in the Hokuriku area for shoppers and food connoisseurs.
Ishikawa was an industrial and cultural center throughout the middle ages and the samurai's time. Thus, it has Japan's leading traditional handicrafts and sophisticated food culture represented by Kaga cuisine. Kanazawa City, also known as "little Kyoto," is a popular tourist destination. Many foreigners are attracted by and live in Kanazawa.
The Ishikawa Foundation for International Exchange and other organizations provide various support to foreign residents, from consultations on day-to-day matters to learning Japanese culture.

Ishikawa is located almost right in the center of the Japanese archipelago; is within close reach of the Tokyo metropolitan area, the Kansai region, and the Chukyo region; and is a distribution hub.
Ishikawa has several main arterial highways running through it, such as the Hokuriku Expressway, Meishin Expressway, and Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, providing efficient transportation access to Japan's three major metropolitan areas.
It provides convenient access to overseas with flight connections at Haneda Airport etc., and direct flights to Shanghai.
Kanazawa Port serves both container and RORO vessels. Container vessels offer consolidated cargo services for small-lot shipments.
