Subsidy for Promoting the Establishment of Offices: Urban Areas
Sakai City provides subsidies to cover part of the rent to companies (corporations or sole proprietorships) that establish offices in designated areas, mainly in the City's urban area.
Companies (including foreign-affiliated companies) opening new offices that fulfill both conditions (a) and (b) below:
(a) Companies that conduct one of the following businesses under the Japan Standard Industrial Classification.
Industrial support functions: Manufacturing, electricity, gas and heat supply, information and communications, transport, wholesaling, banking, insurance, etc.
Intellectual property functions: academic research, professional and technical services. International functions: Foreign public services.
Educational functions: school education, etc.
(b) Enterprises that meet both requirements 1 and 2 below:
1. 10 or more full-time employees in the office.
2. Total office floor area of 100 sqm or more.
30% of the office rent (excluding common area maintenance fees, etc.) An extra 10% subsidy rate applies to special cases for foreign-affiliated companies.
