"Our shochu distillery was established in 1904. The location is based in Oita Bungoono Geopark and Sobo, Katamuki and Okue Biosphere Reserve. This is an area where abundant and unadulterated nature and culture coexist. The distillery is situated in the valley between Mount Sobo, Mount Kuju, and Mount Aso. The valley is home to an abundant supply of spring water that is used to make our shochu. The soft water lends a subtle and mild flavor to the finished product. This was a representative entry for Oita Prefecture distilleries at the 2020 Minami Kyushu Regional Taxation Bureau Sake and Shochu Awards."
