Bungo Meijo has been producing Sake and Shochu for over 100 years in the rich natural surroundings of Saiki city in Oita prefecture, also has a history of more than 30 years producing Amazake. Although it is a small brewery in the back of the mountains, our pride is our products, which are exclusively made with localy rooted materials from Oita and Saiki. Through our brewing culture of using Japan's unique koji (aspergillus) for beverages, we believe that our mission is to fascinate people in the world at Oita Prefecture and Saiki City by serving our products.

50%まで磨いた国産大麦と なでしこの花から特殊な技法で分離抽出した酵母を使用し、長期間発酵させた本格焼酎ブレンド無の原酒。
「日本酒か?」と思わせる原酒ならではのフルーティでまろやかな味わい。スピリッツを味わうように、先ずはストレートかオンザロックで。また、冷凍庫で冷やすと高アルコール酒特有の味わいが増す。 2020年 San Francisco World Spirits Conpetition にてSilver medal 受賞。

This unblended, undiluted honkaku shochu is made with Japanese-grown barley polished to 50% grain size, and yeast extracted from Dianthus flowers using a special method.b The shochu has a fruity and full flavor, prompting the question, “could this be sake?” It should first be savored straight or on the rocks in this order, the same as drinking spirits. Also, chilling this in the freezer increases the flavors unique to drinks with high-alcohol content. This shochu won the silver medal at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Amazake is an ancient Japanese health drink. The fermentation process of the koji (malted rice, the raw ingredient of amazake) includes close to 100 types of enzymes that help the intestines absorb nutrients. Also produced are large amounts of nutrients that are essential to maintaining good health such as vitamins B1, B2, and B6. These help to breakdown sugars and fats and accelerate the body’s metabolism while bolstering immunity.
This drink has added hyuganatsu citrus juice for a fresh taste that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

熊本国税局鑑評会で優秀賞を受賞した本格米焼酎に大分県大山町産の完熟梅を1年間漬け込んで梅エキスを引き出したこだわりの梅酒。

This umeshu (plum liqueur), which won first prize at the Kumamoto Regional Taxation Bureau Sake and Shochu Awards, uses a particular extract from fully ripened plums grown in Oyama town, Oita Prefecture that are soaked in genuine rice shochu for one year.
Providing a good balance between sweet and sour sensations, this is crisp with a pleasant aftertaste and is best enjoyed served straight, either before or after a meal. It retains its robust ume plum flavor when mixed with water or soda water, creating another way to enjoy the sensation.
