Logistics and infrastructures

Okayama City, a transportation hub where railroads converge with highways: one which runs from east to west, connecting Western Japan, and another which runs from north to south in Okayama Prefecture, connects regions along the coasts of the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. The Okayama Airport, which has seven domestic and overseas flight routes, can be reached quickly from downtown Okayama City. The Port of Okayama is designated as an important port. The neighboring Kurashiki City has the Port of Mizushima, which is a port designated as a International Hub Port.
Okayama City boasts the largest general warehouse area in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions, and has excellent logistics functions. It is a city with one of the best transportation infrastructures in the country.

International flights: 1 hour 30 minutes to Seoul; 2 hours 10 minutes to Shanghai; 3 hours 30 minutes to Hong Kong; 2 hours 25 minutes to Taipei.
Domestic flights: 1 hour 15 minutes to Tokyo; 1 hour 55 minutes to Sapporo; 1 hour 50 minutes to Naha.
