The Usuki-Yaki was invented as the signature pottery by the Usuki clan about 200 years ago. This ware style was prominent for a few decades since its inception, and then eventually died out following its decline in popularity. To resurrect the once forgotten ceramic culture of Usuki, collaborators led by local potter Hiroyuki Usami have revived it as the modern "Usuki-Yaki" in 2015. Suitable for daily usage due to its compatibility with dishwashers and microwave ovens, the flower petal pieces are eye-catching designs fit for special celebrations or parties.

稜花小鉢

蓮の花をイメージしたデザインです。稜花小鉢は”型打ち（かたうち）”という技法で制作しています。型打ちは、ローラーで板状にのした粘土を、さらにヘラでしっかりとならし締めて、石膏を削り出した型にのせて指で形作ります。ひとつひとつ手作業で作っているため、商品に多少のサイズの違いがあります。

ryouka-kobachi

This design was inspired by the lotus flower. Ryouka-kobachi is handmade with a technique called "kata-uchi". Kata-uchi is achieved by first flattening the clay with a roller, further smoothening with a spatula, then placed on a cast of carved plaster and shaped by fingers. Since each piece is handmade, the product sizes slightly differ.

輪花十二弁浅鉢

This design was inspired by the chrysanthemum flower. Rinka-juniben-asabachi is handmade with a technique called "kata-uchi". マグカップは、本体をロクロで形作り、取手は粘土を石膏の型で”型抜き”しています。ひとつひとつ手作業で作っているため、商品に多少のサイズの違いがあります。マグカップのほか、花器としての使用もできます。
