大分県のデザイン工芸品 Invitation to Oita craftscotake

The Chinese character "子" used to write cotake in kanji (子竹) is made up of the characters "一 (ichi)" and "了 (ryo)". It means a lifetime, from the beginning (ichi) to the end (ryo). It is our hope that bamboo, a traditional Japanese craft, will be incorporated into "ryo" from "ichi". In creating our products, we often use nature motifs such as flowers, trees, and clouds.

夏の鉄紺の空に上がる花火をイメージして製作しました。色の違う竹ひごを使うことによって竹の特徴でもある曲線美が出ています。

This product was created with the image of fireworks rising in the iron-blue sky in a summer night. By using bamboo strips of different colors, the beauty of curved lines, which is a characteristic of bamboo, is brought out.
