Rubycomm社は、工場、医療機関、電力等、多数の機器が接続された産業用OT（制御システム）向けのネットワークセキュリティ対策用のハードウェアを提供する。このハードウェアは内部のOTと外部IT環境との接続部に関所として置かれ、制御システムのネットワークに流れ込む全ての通信をコマンドレベルで解析し、許可されたものだけを通す境界分離防御を行う。また、OTネットワーク内に複数台導入してネットワークをセグメント化し、特定のセグメントを隔離することで、さらなるセキュリティレベルの向上も行える。外付けハードウェアでセキュリティを確立するため、既存のOTのソフトウェアを変更する必要がなく、個々の機器の設定変更もほぼ不要である。この点は、古いOTがレガシーとなっていて、現在要求されるセキュリティレベルを満たしていないにも関わらず使い続けざるを得ない医療機関や電力などの重要インフラ施設などで有効に機能する。

Rubycomm provides network security hardware for industrial OT in which many devices are connected, such as factories, and medical institutions. This hardware is deployed as a gateway checkpoint at the interface between internal OT and external IT. It analyzes all communications flowing into the control system network at the command level and enforces boundary-based isolation defense by allowing only authorized traffic to pass. Furthermore, by deploying multiple units within an OT network, the network can be segmented and specific segments can be isolated, enabling an even higher level of security. Because security is established through externally attached hardware, there is no need to modify existing OT software, and configuration changes to individual devices are largely unnecessary. This approach is especially effective for critical infrastructure facilities where legacy OT systems must continue to be used despite not meeting current security requirements.
