Kallisioは、頭頸部がんの放射線治療に際し、個々の患者の口腔部の解剖学的特徴を計測し、それに合わせて設計した口腔固定具を３Dプリンタで製造し提供している。本固定具を使うことにより、複数回行う放射線治療時に、患部の照射位置の再現精度が高まるとともに、舌を適切な位置に固定し不要な被ばくを低減することで、口腔乾燥や粘膜炎などの副作用を軽減する。これにより、個々の患者に合わせた治療効果の最大化を実現し、頭頸部がん治療の個別化医療（Precision Medicine）による高度化に貢献している。米国でのFDA承認、欧州でのCE承認を獲得しており、その実績をもとに医療関係機関との連携のもと、日本での事業展開を計画している。

Kallisio measures each patient’s unique oral anatomy prior to head and neck cancer radiotherapy and designs a customized intraoral immobilization device, which is manufactured using 3D-printing technology. By using this device, the reproducibility and precision of radiation targeting are improved across multiple treatment sessions, while the tongue is positioned appropriately to reduce unnecessary radiation exposure, thereby helping to minimize side effects such as xerostomia (dry mouth) and oral mucositis. This approach enables the optimization of treatment outcomes for individual patients and contributes to the advancement of precision medicine in head and neck cancer care. Having obtained both FDA clearance in the United States and CE marking in Europe, Kallisio is now planning to expand its business into Japan through collaboration with healthcare institutions and clinical partners.
