Summay of notice | ⑴ Classification of the products to be procured : 14 ⑵ Nature and quantity of the products to be purchased : Edge Computing Infrastructure 1 Set ⑶ Type of the procurement : Purchase ⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement : A On-premise Computing Infrastructure Subsystem ⒜ The Subsystem shall be a cluster computing system consisting of multiple nodes, with the ability to run virtual machines and/or containers specified by the user on any node. ⒝ The Subsystem shall have a storage system to store virtual drives, container images, and temporary files of virtual machines and containers. ⒞ The Subsystem shall be connected to the Kyoto University Academic Information Network System (KUINS) with a bandwidth of 100 Gbps or higher. ⒟ The Subsystem shall have a function to automatically build a virtual network to which only virtual machines and containers specified by the user can connect. ⒠ The Subsystem shall be equipped with an uninterruptible power supply that can operate for at least 5 minutes in the event of a power failure. B Resource Management Subsystem ⒜ The Subsystem shall have a function to provision virtual computers and/or containers, and virtual networks on the On-premise Computing Infrastructure Subsystem in response to user requests. ⒝ The Subsystem must have a function to execute virtual machines and/or containers at times specified by the user. ⒞ The Subsystem shall have a function to dynamically increase and decrease the number of virtual machines and/or containers to be executed according to the processing load, within the range specified by the user. ⒟ The Subsystem shall have a portal site that allows users to request the creation, execution, and deletion of virtual machines and/or containers, and to specify the time of execution. ⒠ The administrator of the Infrastructure shall have the ability to set the upper limit of computing resources used by each user. ⒡ The Subsystem shall have a function for users and administrators to view execution records of virtual machines and/or containers. C External System Integration Support Subsystem ⒜ The Subsystem shall have functions to support data transfer and data processing in cooperation between the systems and services specified by users among the following systems. a.Virtual machines and containers running on this Infrastructure. b.The supercomputer systems and the Academic Research Cloud System (ARCS). c.The On-premise Storage at Center for Open Science and Data Management, that the Kyoto University plans to deploy at the same time. d.mdx : A Cloud Platform for Supporting Data Science and Cross-Disciplinary Research Collabora- tions, operated by a cooperative entity, in which the Kyoto University participates. e.Computing systems and other facilities provided for shared use by the Kyoto University and other institutions. f.Computing systems and other facilities owned by users. g.Public cloud services. ⒝ The Subsystem shall have a function that allows computers (including virtual machines and containers) operating outside of this Infrastructure to connect to a virtual network specified by the user upon the user's request.
