Astrolightはリトアニア最大の国立研究機関であるFTMCからスピンオフして設立されたスペーステック企業で、高度な衛星追尾システムとレーザー光の空間伝播通信技術を用いて、高速(2.5Gbps)かつ、傍受されにくい安全な衛星間通信、衛星―地上局間通信システム製品を開発・販売している。1550nm帯のレーザー通信技術を用いて、衛星間通信や衛星と地上局間の高速データ伝送を実現する小型の光通信端末を開発・販売しており、地球観測衛星や商用衛星コンステレーションに向けて高速なデータ通信システムを提供している。最大の差別化要因は、移動する衛星を自動で捕捉・追尾し続けるPAT（Pointing, Acquisition and Tracking）技術にあり、数マイクロラジアンレベルの高精度な衛星追尾によって安定した光通信を維持できる点にある。地球観測、通信、災害対応、遠隔監視などの民生分野を主軸として、次世代の宇宙データ通信のインフラを支えることを目指している。

Astrolight is a spacetech company spun out of FTMC, Lithuania's largest national research institute. The company develops and commercializes high-speed (up to 2.5 Gbps), secure, and difficult-to-intercept satellite communication systems that utilize advanced satellite tracking systems and free-space laser communication technologies for both inter-satellite and satellite-to-ground links. Using 1550 nm-band laser communication technology, Astrolight has developed compact optical communication terminals that enable high-speed data transmission between satellites and between satellites and ground stations. These systems are designed to support Earth observation satellites and commercial satellite constellations that require the rapid transfer of large volumes of data. The company's key differentiator lies in its proprietary PAT (Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking) technology, which automatically acquires and continuously tracks moving satellites.
