Business Expanding BluWave AI, Driving AI-Powered Energy Optimization, Establishes Office in Minato, Tokyo

BluWave-ai is a Canada-based energy management system company that leverages AI as its core strength to provide solutions for optimizing electricity usage for assets such as battery storage and enabling demand response (DR) using electric vehicles (EVs).

BluWave AI was founded in Ottawa, Canada, in 2017 and is a leading global innovator in AI-driven energy optimization. The company delivers its solutions in a SaaS format to clients worldwide and currently holds 33 patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including 24 under review and 9 granted. Leveraging the scale of the Japanese market and its energy transition needs, along with support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Invest Tokyo program, BluWave AI established BluWave Inc. Japan in Minato, Tokyo, in February 2025.
