Business Expanding Komodo PRX Pty Ltd., a Provider of Environmentally Friendly Road Solutions, Establishes an Office in Tokyo

Komodo PRX Pty Ltd.,
as established in 2012 and is an environmentally conscious company promoting carbon neutrality in the infrastructure sector. The company utilizes patented materials of polymers and bitumen that protects the surface from the negative effect of UV rays and water penetration. The solutions promote Preventive Maintenance, rather then fixing and resurfacing. . The solutions applied in ambient temperature and using recycled materials, achieving significant reductions in CO₂ emissions and energy consumption compared to conventional hot asphalt. Furthermore, it contributes to waste reuse and the extension of road lifespan, aiming to realize a sustainable society.

The company’s entry into the Japanese market aims to reduce environmental impact and improve quality in the maintenance of aging roads. In July 2025, it established a Japanese subsidiary in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and began activities including marketing, proof-of-concept trials, collaboration with Japanese companies, product development, and acquisition of necessary certifications. Going forward, the company plans to accelerate the adoption of sustainable road solutions through partnerships with Japanese firms.

In establishing its Japanese base, JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided support including arranging meetings with Japanese companies, consultations with administrative scriveners on company incorporation and visa acquisition, coordination with an international law firm, advice from tax specialists on taxation, and arranging meetings with the Osaka City Construction Bureau.
