Nexus Events is a U.S.-based company that provides services supporting startup community building and investor matchmaking.

Founded in 2019, Nexus Events provides a platform that enables founders and startups to connect in virtual spaces, build networks, collaborate, exchange ideas, and host online demo day events where startups can present their businesses to investors. The company has developed strong expertise in startup ecosystem support and facilitates the formation of global networks among entrepreneurs and investors. To support Japan’s startup ecosystem in collaboration with the Japanese government by leveraging its platform, expertise, and local entity, Nexus Events established a sales office in Tokyo in June 2026. Through the Cabinet Secretariat’s Global Startup Campus Initiative, the company is advancing projects with the University of Tokyo and the Cabinet Office, contributing to startup creation, development, and international collaboration in Japan. The company plans to focus primarily on government-related projects in Japan over the next several years while also seeking to expand business opportunities with private-sector companies and startups. Through the expansion of its operations in Japan, Nexus Events is expected to contribute to innovation within the startup sector. In establishing its Japanese office, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided consultation services related to company registration. Going forward, Nexus Events aims to deepen collaboration with Japanese companies and research institutions while expanding its startup support services and contributing to the further development of Japan’s startup ecosystem.
