Tulip Interfaces, Inc. was founded in 2014 in the U.S. state of Massachusetts by former members of the MIT Media Lab, and is a rapidly growing company with several hundred employees and funding raised through Series D. Guided by its mission to democratize technology by connecting people and manufacturing operations through software, Tulip provides a no-code platform that enables frontline-led digital transformation (DX) in manufacturing environments. Through this platform, frontline personnel can create process management applications without coding, issue digital work instructions, integrate factory equipment and measurement devices with production management and execution systems, and visualize key metrics such as production progress, defect rates, and equipment utilization in real time via dashboards—enabling immediate, data-driven action across the manufacturing floor.
Tulip has already entered into an investment and strategic technology partnership agreement with a major Japanese electronics manufacturer, and established its Japanese subsidiary with the aim of further expanding its business in Japan and strengthening local customer support.
In establishing its Japan subsidiary, TULIP Kabushiki Kaisha, JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided market information, list of employment-related service providers, consultations with an expert on employment and labor matters, and assistance with participation in JETRO-hosted pitch events.
