VMFi is a startup company founded in Taipei, Taiwan, in 2020 that provides voice AI solutions for enterprise customers. Leveraging its proprietary AI technologies and wireless communication capabilities, the company supports multilingual communication at conferences, international conventions, exhibitions, tourist attractions, airports, and other venues. VMFi has established a track record of deployments among corporations and organizations, including major semiconductor companies, and is committed to facilitating seamless global business communication through highly accurate, low-latency translation services.

The company launched its services in Taiwan in 2021 and has steadily expanded its operations across Japan since 2022, including Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Okinawa. Building on achievements such as receiving a CES Innovation Award and winning the JR Kyushu Business Proposal Contest, VMFi established its Japanese subsidiary, VMFi Co., Ltd., in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, in October 2025 to further expand its business in the Japanese market.

To support the establishment of VMFi’s Japan office, JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided a wide range of assistance, including market intelligence, business matching services, arrangements for meetings with organizations related to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and opportunities to participate as a speaker at exhibitions and seminars. In addition, IBSC supported the company’s business launch and network-building efforts in Japan through the provision of temporary office space.

Looking ahead, VMFi intends to position its Japanese subsidiary as a key hub for its global operations and expand the adoption of its solutions among railways, airports, tourism facilities, educational institutions, local governments, and other organizations throughout Japan. The company also plans to leverage the business model it has developed in Japan to expand into European markets, including Germany, while continuing to develop next-generation solutions aimed at further advancing multilingual voice communication.
