The company has now established a subsidiary in Japan to support the country’'s green hydrogen transformation.

Founded in Sydney in 2020, LAVO specializes in hydrogen energy storage with metal hydride technology, which enables the safe, long-term storage and transportation of hydrogen. The company established its subsidiary in Saudi Arabia and has implemented this technology to decarbonize data centers and telecom towers in South Africa and Middle East. It is also conducting demonstration projects aimed at hydrogen transportation to Southeast Asia, focusing on decarbonizing islands that rely on diesel generators.

This time, the company has established a subsidiary in Tokyo, aiming to contribute to Japan's ambitious green hydrogen agenda, enhance energy security, and foster a global hydrogen supply chain.

Moreover, the company plans to commercialize its hydrogen storage technologies and expand its applications to various sectors, including transportation and industrial use through collaboration with universities and clean tech companies.

After that, to assist with setting up the company's Japanese subsidiary, JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided business matching with Japanese companies , introduced service providers (VCs and CVCs, staffing agencies), and provided market reports and consultations with hydrogen expert.
