1. Summary
JETRO is calling for applications from a wide range of companies for the "Subsidy for Projects to stimulate direct investment in Japan" as follows.

2. Objective
This subsidy program will provide business verification assistance in Japan for Japanese companies that have collaborative projects with foreign companies in Japan, as well as for foreign-affiliated companies in Japan that already have specific projects such as investment and business expansion in Japan, to conduct the business feasibility studies and implement solutions in the social field. The objective is to promote the realization of projects in the Japanese market by foreign and foreign-affiliated companies, thereby stimulating their desire to invest in Japan and accelerating the decision-making processes for investment execution.
3. Target Fields, Target Audience
Target Fields
In the field of manufacturing, healthcare, green, and other digital-related technologies (mobility, FinTech, wholesale/retail) that will contribute to the implementation of technologies, business models, and other digital-related technologies to Japan. Particular emphasis will be placed on semiconductors/microelectronics, life sciences, and decarbonization areas.

4. Application Process and Schedule

Application Schedule
Application begins: Monday, March 31, 2025
Application closes: Friday, May 9, 2025 Noon (must arrive by this date and time)
Presentation review: Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, May 30, 2025
*After the document review process, a presentation review of the proposal will be conducted. Companies that are selected for presentation review process will be contacted by the Secretariat approximately two business days prior to the presentation review date. Due to the selection schedule, notification will be made just before the implementation date, so please make sure to secure your schedule.
