Its main product, a SaaS named the “RepRisk ESG Risk Platform,” is considered a comprehensive database covering ESG risks related to over 220,000 public and private companies worldwide, as well as 62,000 infrastructure projects such as dams, pipelines, and supplier facilities. The database is used mainly by financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, and asset management companies for due diligence, ESG integration, and risk management. Established in 1998, the company has over 300 employees, and it currently has bases in 6 countries and is developing its business in 12 countries.

The company combines AI and human intelligence in 23 languages to identify risks daily from publicly available information, intentionally excluding company self-disclosure, to serve as a reality check for how companies conduct their business around the world. Clients can leverage data and metrics mapped to 101 ESG factors and to standards such as the UNGC(Note1), SASB(Note2), and SDGs.

With the increasing importance of ESG in Japan, the company established RepRisk Japan Ltd. in Tokyo in January 2022 to further expand its business. The company was selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Green Finance Subsidy Program for Tokyo Market Entry (FY2021) after being introduced by JETRO, and has also received support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for its establishment and business development.
