Business Expanding FathomX Pte Ltd, a Singaporean company that researches AI-based mammography diagnostics, launches joint research with the National Cancer Center (NCC)

FathomX Pte Ltd was established in 2019 and is headquartered in Singapore. The company is using AI and deep learning to conduct R&D for early diagnosis of breast cancer. In mammography-based breast cancer screening, the company's proprietary AI technology makes it possible to detect signs of cancerous tissue on X-ray images more quickly and accurately than before, for features in images that are difficult for humans to identify.

JETRO invited FathomX to participate in the 2020 Chiba Global Business Forum and arranged for the company to make a pitch and to meet with the National Cancer Center (NCC) Hospital East at the individual business meetings, which resulted in the conclusion of a joint research agreement in May 2022.
In this joint research, it is planned to develop new medical devices that will be useful for women in the region Asia and Australia by using AI independently developed and provided by FathomX that have learned the image information of women's mammograms in the region, under the research collaboration system between NCC and FathomX.
JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) also provided information and other support. JETRO will continue to support the collaboration between FathomX Pte Ltd and NCC for their challenge to develop new medical devices for mammary gland diseases.
