Founded in 1987, UK-based consulting firm Brunswick Group LLP has 1,200 staff and 150 partners. It is expanding its global presence on top of its offices in previously 23 cities worldwide. The firm provides consulting services, including business strategy development and M&A advisory in various aspects, such as political, social, financial markets, and internal communications, to support businesses to build trust with their stakeholders. Its industry coverage spans finance, consumer goods, energy and resources, healthcare and life sciences, heavy industry and infrastructure, technology, media, telecommunications, and the arts. It specializes in communications related to capital markets, social value, crisis management, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, litigation, etc.
For more than a decade, the firm has been helping Japanese and foreign companies looking to grow their businesses in Japan by solving their most critical financial, regulatory and political, and social issues. In October 2020, it opened the Tokyo office to expand its business in Japan further. The Tokyo office team is part of Brunswick’s global Japan team, comprising more than 15 Japan experts and bilingual advisors in the US, Europe, and Asia. The Tokyo office team’s addition will accelerate support for Japanese companies expanding into the US, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as for global companies entering the Japanese market that offers substantial growth opportunities.
Upon establishing the company in Japan, JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space, market information, and consultation (registration, labor). IBSC also introduced service providers (tax accountants, social insurance and labor consultant, real estate, service offices, and recruitment agencies).
