Agrati, headquartered in Italy, is a global automotive parts manufacturer (bolts, nuts, fasteners, etc.). Established in 1939, the company employs more than 2,500 people at 12 production sites and 4 development centers in Europe, the U.S., China, and elsewhere. These sites manufacture 40 million parts daily in total.

The company invests 8% of its profits in innovation and collaborates with automakers on designs, making it a supplier of advanced parts essential to automotive production. The company manufactures about 15,000 product items a year, of which 1,000 items (or 7% of total) are newly developed innovative advanced parts. In recent years, the company's driving force behind its growth has been Advanced Form Part (AFP), which specialize in complex geometry, no mechanical machining, and special materials.

In line with the expansion of business for Japanese companies, the company established Agrati Japan G.K. in October 2019 as a sales base in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, to strengthen customer support and acquire new customers. The company expects to further expand its customer base in Japan in the future.

Upon establishing the company in Japan, JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) arranged meetings with local governments (Kanagawa and Yokohama), provided information on the Japanese market (subsidies and incentives, real estate listings), introduced service providers (real estate agency), and provided P.R. support.
