Founded in 2007, Scientist.comExternal site: a new window will open. is the pharmaceutical industry’s leading AI-powered enterprise marketplace for outsourced R&D. The marketplace simplifies the entire drug research process, saving time and money and providing access to the latest innovative tools and technologies, while enabling full compliance with a research organization’s procurement policies.

Scientist.com established its subsidiary, Scientist.com GK, in February 2019 and has since entered in partnerships and created enterprise marketplaces for five large Japanese pharmaceutical companies.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s Japanese subsidiary, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space; consultation on registration, tax and labor matters; and information on the market, regulations and the legal system. The IBSC also introduced local service providers (a tax accountant, labor and social security attorney, interpreting agency and PR company).
