Rescale Japan Co., Ltd. provides a cloud platform for scientific and technological simulations performed by companies in fields such as automobiles and aircraft in the product design phase. The company was established in Tokyo in May 2016 as a Japanese subsidiary of Rescale Inc. (US).

The cloud platform of Rescale enables centralized management of various simulation software and high performance hardware on multiple cloud service providers capable of processing huge amounts of data. This allows users to select from various combinations of software and hardware according to their needs.

For example, its cloud platform makes possible to simulate the reaction of materials to serious momentary stresses due to impact or high pressure as well as the flow of hot thermal fluid in internal combustion engines. It is expected to contribute to the implementation of the autonomous driving system set forth in the Japanese government’s growth strategy.

In 2019, Rescale Japan expanded its office by increasing the number of personnel to support its customers. With this expansion, the company started to provide full scale services not only in the Kanto region but throughout the western part of Japan.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided opportunities to participate in networking events for international students and foreign companies as well as market information. It also introduced a real estate company and bank.
