Moxa Inc. is a Taiwan-based global company engaged in the research, manufacturing and sales of edge-connectivity, industrial computing, network infrastructures, and cyber-security solutions for IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
Established in 1987, the company has 12 offices and approximately 1,200 employees worldwide. Its products are sold in more than 80 countries and regions around the world.
The company provides industrial networking devices (e.g., industrial Ethernet, industrial computers, serial communication devices, IP remote monitoring, etc.) as well as industrial network security solutions that are deployed in a wide range of industries, including smart factories, railroads, smart grids, solar and wind power generation facilities, highway systems, oil and gas, marine and mining. Moxa’s data collection and transferring solution helped the customer’s World's No. 1 ETC Network achieving a tolling accuracy rate of 99.99%.
The adoption by Japanese companies of Moxa's cutting-edge industrial IoT , and IT (information technology) and OT (operational technology) integrated network technologies focused on transportation, power and manufacturing, can be expected to bring further advances to Japanese industries.
The company established Moxa Japan LLC in Tokyo in January 2020.
Upon establishing its Japanese company, Moxa was supported by JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) temporary office services.
