EVO Informationssysteme GmbH was founded in 1997 in Durlangen, Germany. The company develops Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for the manufacturing industry.

The company's ERP system enables paperless centralized control by integrating the IoT (Internet of Things) into all in-house operational procedures, including for management of production, labor, materials and inventory, orders and quality.

Designed as a system tailored for small and medium-sized manufacturers, it provides the introductory tools to suit the requirements of each company while mitigating barriers to minimize cost and required resources. It has already been introduced to more than 1,000 companies in over 15 countries.

EVO Japan K.K. was established in Hitachi, Ibaraki in March 2019 to further expand the Japanese market. Behind this decision was the company’s participation in JETRO's Regional Industry Tie-Up (RIT) Program as well as the dedication displayed by local governments, such as direct promotion by the Governor of Ibaraki and Mayor of Hitachi and new subsidies made available for foreign-affiliated companies.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided consultation on tax, law and labor matters, information on the market, regulations, the legal system and local government incentives and introduced service providers (an administrative scrivener, banks and service offices).
