Synology Inc. is a Taiwanese company that develops and manufactures next generation network attached storage (NAS), IP camera surveillance solutions and network equipment. The company’s products are sold in more than 90 countries worldwide and has a recorded shipment volume of more than 5 million units. It is expanding international sales routes with subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, UK, France and China, and over 1,000 distributors and partners around the world.

Japan is the sixth overseas base in the world for the company, and with sales seeing growth of 50% in 2017, the Japanese market is significantly expanding. The company established Synology Japan Co., Ltd. in April 2018 in Tokyo with the aim of further expanding local sales routes and strengthening after-sales services as well as technical support in the country.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided consultation (on company registration and labor matters) and referred a recruitment agency.
