Established in London in 2009, CrimtanExternal site: a new window will open. creates and manages programmatic advertising for clients across the world, using their unique audience, creative and investment intelligence, and lifecycle marketing approach. The company has bases in 11 countries around the globe, and has now entered the market in Japan. Crimtan offers relevant creative (leading individual users to the optimal sites) in cooperation with client brand protection and high-precision audience targeting (distribution based on user data analysis).

It also provides automated banner generation taking due consideration of operational transparency, viewability (the extent to which ads can actually be viewed) and brand safety (where ads do not display inappropriate content), in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Most importantly, Crimtan pioneered lifecycle marketing for display advertising to deliver maximum incremental value for clients, and increase their customer lifetime value (LTV).

The company originally partnered with ABOUT Co, a website production company, for sales and services in Japan. In order to strengthen customer support in Japan, it established Crimtan Japan KK in May 2018.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space, consultation (on registration and visa acquisition) and business matching. It also introduced service providers (a tax accountant, lawyer, PR company and recruitment agency).
