The company’s technology has an established reputation in terms of noise control and fire prevention, and is highly regarded in Europe and around the world for its contribution to energy efficiency and environmental protection. Examples of Schüco systems include the facades of Cambridge Law Faculty and the Port House in Antwerp.

For the Japanese market, Schüco started selling sashes for housing through partner companies in Japan in the late 1970s. The company has been selling windows that were quite rare in those days, such as inswing windows and tilt-in hopper windows, as well as large sliding doors and pivot windows with horizontal shafts. In December 2018, the company founded Schueco Japan KK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Schüco Group, to expand its business in Tokyo, where demand for construction has risen considerably due to the preparation for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020. Schüco Japan aims to offer targeted innovative technological system solutions to the Japanese market in collaboration with architectural design companies, developers and general contractors.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space, consultation on company registration, and information on the market and incentive programs. The IBSC also introduced local service providers (a recruitment agency, real estate agency and translation agency).
