Latest Updates Korean LCC Air Seoul doubles flight services between Narita and Incheon
Feb 16, 2018
"Air Seoul Co., Ltd.," a low-cost carrier (LCC) in Korea, launched regular flight services between Narita and Incheon once a day on October 31, 2017 and it now offers two flights a day on December 20.
The LCC was founded in 2015 by Asiana Airlines Co., Ltd. in Seoul, Korea. The company started its business operation by undertaking feeder routes of its parent company in Japan (Takamatsu, Shizuoka, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Yonago, Toyama, Ube and Kumamoto), and has established branch offices in Osaka and Tokyo, where the number of Koreans coming to Japan has surged. It aims to create synergy through a closer relationship with its parent company. In September 2017, they launched flights between Kansai and Incheon as well.
On the occasion of their going into service in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space and consultation on tax matters and made referrals to interior construction companies.
