We manufacture and wholesale interior decorations. Our overseas business began with a focus on Europe a few years ago. Although we have been exporting to France for 20 years, we showcased our products at an expo in France last year and plan to do the same in Italy this year to broaden the scope of our business. Development in Europe is accelerating. We are seeking members who will move forward with the global expansion with us. We are a small interior decoration manufacturing and wholesaling company that began manufacturing Yame Sudare, a rare traditional craft made using bamboo found in the Yame region, in 1912. In 2014, it was recognized by the Governor of Fukuoka as a specialty craft of cultural significance.
We grew with the domestic sales of sudare, rattan, and other products made from natural materials. After celebrating our 100th anniversary, we began another business and transitioned to a new model focused on exporting traditional crafts to retail spaces. The quality was praised, with many design firms installing our products.
We offer the shitsurai* culture to customers to deliver comforting spaces to every corner of the world. Global expansion is ongoing, with showcasings at expos in Europe (France and Italy), and use in stores, hotels, and restaurants.
*A method of hospitality involving the decoration of spaces using natural materials to welcome guests that originated in the Heian period.
