⑷ Basic requirement of the procurement
① Requirements of the system
・The system must have a virtualization infrastructure, high-performance computing nodes, shared file systems, login nodes, management servers, and the network connecting these system components. The virtualization infrastructure may include the computing nodes and the other nodes.
・The total theoretical peak performance of double-precision floating point operation, including the virtualization infrastructure and computing nodes, must be 4.6 PFLOPS or more.
② Requirement of a computing nodes
・The system must include a group of high-performance computing nodes with a vector processor whose theoretical peak performance is equivalent to the existing system (of NEC SX-Aurora TSUBASA, 622.8TFLOPS) or more.
・The system must include a group of high-performance computing nodes with a general-purpose processor.
・The peak computing performance provided by the virtualization infrastructure and high-performance computing nodes, excluding vector processors, must be 4 PFLOPS or more, 45 times as high as the existing system (of HPE Apollo 2000, 86TFLOPS).
・The results of the benchmark testing programs, which will provided or specified by NIES, should meet the criteria NIES.
・Must have highly optimized libraries of Fortran/C/C++ for scientific computing.
・Must have parallel performance analysis tools and multiprocessing support tools supporting Fortran, C, and C++ programs.
③ Requirements of a virtualization infrastructure
・Must have 256GiB memory for each node with a bandwidth of 500Gbps or more.
・Must have CPU cores that performance exceeds 25GFLOPS in double-precision floating-point operation for each core.
・Must have 2GiB or more main memory for each CPU core.
・Must have GPU nodes that account for less than 25% of the theoretical peak performance of the virtualization infrastructure.
・Must have one or more nodes with 2048 GiByte or more main memory.
④ Requirements of a fast shared file system :
・Must have The total effective capacity usage with more than 1 Pbytes.
・All computing nodes and all nodes of the virtualization infrastructure should be able to read and write at a speed of 200 GB/s or more.
⑤ Requirements of a large shared file system :
・Must have The total effective capacity usage with more than 20 Pbytes.
・All computing nodes and all nodes of the virtualization infrastructure should be able to read and write at a speed of 100 GB/s or more.
⑥ The introduction manual shows the outline of the Pre-benchmark test for the performance evaluation. (Result of Pre-benchmark test does not include in the total evaluation.)
⑦ The introduction manual shows the outline of the benchmark test for the performance evaluation.
⑸ The successful bid depends on total evaluations of the price, the performance and the function, etc. The introduction manual shows the outline of the total evaluation.
⑹ Time-limit for the submission of the requested material : 4 : 00 PM, 26 February, 2024.
⑺ Time-limit for the submission of Prebenchmark Test results : 4 : 00 PM, 29 March, 2024.
