Addressing the increasing needs in Fintech of Japan's financial institutions, the Embassy of Canada in Japan and the Japan External Trade Organization are hosting, with support from the Financial Services Agency (FSA) Japan (TBC), and the Fintech Association of Japan, this Fintech webinar and meetup event to present Canada's Fintech startups operating in the following Fintech subsectors experiencing growth in Japan.


Target Fintech Subsectors:

• Data and analytics software to better engage with customers and to increase revenue.
• Novel lending, credit, mortgage and investment software tools for business and customers.


Who should apply:

we are seeking Fintech companies incorporated in Canada who have:

• Revenue - generating businesses with a fully-built, export-ready validated technology
• Track record of success – use cases in the North America
• Ready to invest time and resources for Japan market-entry


This online event is free for the participating Canadian Fintech companies and organized to help them to reach their potential partners and clients in Japan.

This event presented six innovative Canadian AI, IoT and automation companies wishing to collaborate with Japanese large corporates and SME companies and expand into the Japanese market.

Kanagawa Prefecture lies next to Tokyo and, with Yokohama as the second largest city in Japan with a population of about 3.7 million, it is a key centre in Japan for manufacturing including automotive, with Nissan headquartered in Yokohama, as well as life sciences, ICT and many other sectors. Kanagawa is also a logistics and supply chain hub with Haneda airport, the port of Yokohama and a complex rail and road network connecting Tokyo and regions in the centre and west of Japan.
