Supporting Organizations in Canada:

Addressing the increasing needs in Fintech of Japan’s financial institutions, the Embassy of Canada in Japan is hosting, with support from Financial Services Agency (FSA) Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Fintech Association of Japan, this Fintech webinar and meetup event to present Canada’s Fintech startups operating in the following Fintech subsectors experiencing growth in Japan.

Target Fintech Subsectors:

　• Data and analytics software to better engage with customers and to increase revenue.
　• Novel lending, credit, mortgage and investment software tools for business and customers.

Who should apply:

We are seeking Fintech companies incorporated in Canada who have:
　• Revenue-generating businesses with a fully-built, export-ready validated technology
　• Track record of success – use cases in the North America
　• Ready to invest time and resources for Japan market-entry

Note: neither cryptocurrency nor InsurTech companies will be considered for this program; other Fintech subsector companies may be considered if there are not enough applications from those in targetted subsectors.

This online event is free for the participating Canadian Fintech companies and organized to help them to reach their potential partners and clients in Japan.

We will select 6 companies and, when the selection is completed, the Embassy and supporters in Japan will circulate invitations among Financial Service industry contacts, as well as value added system integrators & resellers who are supporting these institutions, aiming to recruit and audience of 50-80.

Part 1: Webinar	Plenary session  (Start 7:30 PM (EST)）
	Opening words and MC by the Embassy and a greeting message from JETRO
	Overview of Fintech sector in Canada: trends and topics
	Short Pitch by each of the selected 6 Fintech companies with business plan for Japan. Part 2: Meetup	6 breakout rooms (one room per company)
	Japanese attendees are invited to freely enter breakout rooms of their choice to learn more about each Fintech company they are interested in and engage with them. (End approximately 8:40 PM (EST)）
