The Japanese appeal that foreigners found in Mie

About 30 foreigners visited Mie Prefecture in October. They are journalists and buyers who gathered as judges for the international Japanese sake competition. Between their reviews, they visited Ise Jingu, which has the link with sake and local sake breweries, and enjoyed seafood at an “ama” divers’ restaurant in Toba city while learning their traditions. After the G7 Ise-Shima Summit in 2016, Mie Prefecture has been making a strong effort on their promotions to expand inbound tourism, and this event is one of them. What fascinating things did the foreigners, who have been to tourist destinations including Kyoto, find in Mie Prefecture? This is a documentary of their three-day journey.
