Signature of letter of intent with WIPO and Japan Patent Office

On February 21, JETRO signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Japan Patent Office (JPO).

The LOI was exchanged between WIPO Director General Francis Gurry, JPO Commissioner Naoko Munakata and JETRO Chairman and CEO Hiroyuki Ishige in the presence of Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko, on the occasion of a courtesy visit to Minister Seko by Mr. Gurry. Based on the LOI, JETRO will devote efforts to support business for developing countries by taking advantage of intellectual property and working together with the WIPO and JPO.
