Outline of the IIPPF

The International Intellectual Property Protection Forum (IIPPF) was established in April 2002 as a cross-industrial platform that gathers companies and organizations that are strongly motivated to resolve the problem of overseas infringement of intellectual property rights through counterfeiting and piracy, with the aim of collecting opinions from the industry and contributing to promoting the protection of intellectual property by having the companies and organizations act cooperatively on domestic and foreign government organizations.
The IIPPF established the General Meeting as a decision-making organ for all its members and the Planning Board as a place for discussions. For facilitating their activities, JETRO has been serving as the secretariat since FY2006.
