Jan 21, 2025

Tuenkers JapanExternal site: a new window will open., which manufactures and sells a wide range of equipment necessary for factory automation, has grown to more than 40 sales offices, plants, and subsidiaries worldwide since its establishment in 1962.

Among the company's product lineup, material handling parts, which are in particularly high demand, have been well received because they enable material handling units, which used to require welding, to be easily redesigned by connecting them like blocks, and because the use of highly durable aluminum material has made it possible to reduce weight. In addition, the company's turntables, which are resistant to breakage and are easy to handle, have been a long-running product popular with OEM manufacturers in Europe for many years. While automation of production by robots is on the rise, demand for the company’s clamps (fasteners), which act as fingers on robot arms, is increasing in Germany.

The company established its Japanese subsidiary in 2016 and later moved its base of operations to Nagoya. The company has expanded its business through sales and after-sales support of equipment for automobile production and assembly. A new general manager was appointed in fiscal year 2022, and the company shifted course to rapid expansion centered on conveyors. To respond to the sudden increase in demand, the company established its first knock-down production assembly plant in Handa City.

JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) assisted the company in recruiting human resources and in finding a site for the plant.
