Business Expanding Artec 3D, a manufacturer of 3D scanners and scanning software, establishes a Japanese subsidiary in Tokyo

Artec 3D develops and manufactures high-quality yet easy-to-use portable 3D scanners, smart and user-friendly 3D software, and SDK that offer outstanding integration possibilities for any application.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, the company has subsidiaries in the United States (California), China (Shanghai), and Montenegro (Bar). It operates globally through these locations and works with numerous customers around the world, providing cutting-edge 3D technology to those in various industries.

Artec 3D has long had customers among automobile manufacturers and educational institutions through its sales agents in Japan. Due to the high evaluation from these clients, the company determined that it had the potential to further develop the market and established a Japanese subsidiary.

The company plans to strengthen sales activities and after-sales services from its Japanese subsidiary to establish a firm foothold with existing customers and to further develop new customers, and it also plans to maintain the relationship with its distributors in Japan.

To assist with setting up the company's Japanese subsidiary, JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space, introduced recruitment agencies and real estate companies, and provided consultations for tax and labor affairs.
