The company established a Japanese subsidiary in Tokyo in June 2024 to provide terminal infrastructure solutions such as storage tanks, pipelines and cargo handling facilities to Japanese companies which are promoting energy transition.

As an independent storage operator and infrastructure provider, the company operates 77 terminals in 23 countries, forming a large network with more than 35 joint venture partners. It has strengths in the development, investment, and operation of tank and marine infrastructure, focusing on critical solutions for hydrogen, ammonia, CO2, long-term energy storage, low-carbon fuels, and industrial feedstocks.

The Japan office was established based on the company's strategy to accelerate its new energy and LNG businesses. The company will support Japan's carbon neutrality goals with new technologies and infrastructure solutions for low- and zero-carbon energy products that can be alternatives to fossil fuels, including the safe handling and storage of hydrogen and ammonia that is gaining attention as hydrogen carriers.
