We have been in the tuna-related business since our establishment.
Our company is full of love for tuna, appreciating the tuna that live in the rich nature sea areas of Nachikatsuura, the fishermen who catch the abundant tuna, and all the people involved with tuna. In the future, we would like to establish a company in the same form as ours at a fishing port overseas where tuna come ashore, and we are looking for people to help manage that company. We will train them to handle everything from tuna connoisseurship to company management and business negotiations. Business experience such as planning or sales would be ideal. Communication-level Japanese language skills or higher are required, but in addition, those who can speak English are welcome. Our group company, "Wakiguchi Tuna Technical Research Institute," provides support for foreign human resources such as technical intern trainees, offers lifestyle support, and also performs services related to the acquisition of qualifications for specific skills and employment. Other consulting services related to tuna include data acquisition, management, and analysis, as well as the planning and implementation of external seminars and training programs. Foreign personnel play an active role at our company, and we are looking for even more new talent. After joining our company, new hires can learn how to cut tuna and can develop their love of tuna.

We have been in the tuna brokerage and processing business since 1897. Nachikatsuura Port in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, where our company is located, is the country's no.1 port for fresh tuna landings, where all tuna is landed without ever being frozen onboard. We are engaged in all kinds of businesses related to tuna, including wholesaling, processing, manufacturing of processed tuna, operation of direct sales stores for general consumers, and consulting services to propose processing and sales areas for our customers. Our customers include inns, restaurants, and retail stores from the Tohoku to Kyushu regions, and we process and deliver custom-made products in the forms demanded by our customers. In the 130 years since our establishment, we have created a new sensibility in the distribution of raw tuna via our precise "connoisseurship and sorting technology" as passed down from generation to generation, the "processing technology" that we have refined, and the "ties, cooperation, and information with tuna vessels" that we have cultivated over the years, as well as via our independently developed "one-of-a-kind refrigeration technology." While keeping up with the functions of the times, we are able to provide "truly delicious" tuna.
In the near future, we plan to establish an overseas base and to conduct two businesses: exporting tuna from Japan and importing tuna from the local market.
