Kodai is a manufacturer of wooden products founded 53 years ago in 1972. We began exporting our products overseas in 2012 and are currently expanding our sales operations around the world, especially in North America. While the company only has a small group of 31 employees, we are able to perform everything in-house from planning, development, design, to manufacturing and sales, which makes it possible for us to sell our unique products not just in the Japanese market but worldwide as well. Kodai is a manufacturer of wooden household products that performs in-house product planning, development, design, to manufacturing and sales. In 2012, we began exporting our products overseas and have been mainly selling various cutting boards made from Japanese cypress wood to consumers in North America, Europe(UK, Germany, Austria etc.), Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries around the world. It is our aim to develop environmentally-friendly products, and we obtained FSC's Chain of Custody certification in 2005. Hinoki cutting boards that we have exported are made from FSC-certified materials. Furthermore, we aim to base future products on the concept of zero-emission by creating cypress-based biomass plastic items using the wood shavings left behind from other manufacturing processes, as well as delving into new product categories such as distilled Japanese cypress deodorant sprays that are made from the steam discharged during the drying process for wood materials.
