On October 14-16, 2015, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, JETRO has organized a Japan Pavilion of 11 Japanese companies exhibiting at the Third Annual International LNG in BC Conference.

 

With an extensive track record in the LNG industry throughout the world, the exhibiting Japanese companies are looking to showcase their technology and services in support of BC’s emerging LNG sector.

Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) was established on February 29, 2004 pursuant to the Law Concerning the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation, which was promulgated on July 26, 2002. Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) is engaged in oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) activities both in Japan and overseas. In April 2013, JAPEX acquired a 10% interest in the shale gas mineral license in the North Montney area and planned Pacific Northwest LNG Project, both of which are undertaken by PETRONAS through Progress Energy Ltd. and its affiliates.
