The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is pleased to announce the participation of five companies in the Japan pavilion at Globe 2012. They represent a growing number of Japanese companies that, through their commitment to developing innovative sustainable technology, have strengthened Japan's reputation as the world’s most energy-efficient and sustainable economy.
These five environmental leaders will showcase cutting-edge technology in the fields of wastewater treatment, energy saving, environmental protection, and air purification.

BL Dynamics Inc. offers a line of products that produce ultra fine bubbles. Bubbles smaller than 50μm in diameter have unique properties that lend themselves to a variety of treatment applications: wastewater treatment, oil/water separation, aqua farming/fish farming, natural water treatment, washing systems, and paint booths. Gohda Corporation offers consulting services for the operation and management of wastewater treatment facilities. Their technology is an advanced and unique digestion technology for the treatment of wastewater which optimizes the operation of the activated sludge process and reduces operating costs (electricity, chemicals, and the disposal of excess activated sludge and food waste) to less than half. The Gohda technology can convert food waste to feedstuff.

Hitachi Zosen Corporation USA
Hitachi Zosen Group provides innovative green energy solutions with turnkey EPC services and value added products. Their energy-saving and environmental protection solutions are available for a diverse global market. Their showcased technologies include Municipal Solid Waste to energy process engineering, ethanol dehydration process using zeolite membranes (Hitz), concentrated solar power, Selective Catalytic Reduction for NOx Removal, and an on-site hydrogen generation and Methanation Catalyst & System.

Hokukei. Hokuei is a leader in the design, development, and production of photocatalytic air-purification filters/devices. Photocatalyst is a cutting-edge, environmentally safe, and inexpensive technology. Their products are powerful custom-made devices that eliminate odor, bacteria, viruses and toxic substances (can render these substances harmless). Their in-house production allows for customized development.

Meidensha Corporation. Meidensha has developed a ceramic membrane which has the ability to filter industrial wastewater including oil, solvents and other chemicals. Their ceramic membrane can withstand operations at high temperatures and the durability enables a simplified pretreatment system. The product is easily rotated out of service because of the small footprint and daily maintenance and associated costs are reduced or eliminated due to automated backwash and online cleaning.
