Tsubame-Sanjo is a highly dynamic region for metal manufacturing and processing. While continuing traditional crafts such as beaten copper pots, craftsmen have developed work tools and western cutlery to meet the needs of modern life, as well as expanded into the field of beauty tools.

It produces the majority of all of present-day Japan’s cutlery, and itsadvanced techniques used to make the cutlery that is used at the Nobel Prize Award banquet that follows the ceremony. Tsubame-Sanjo is also the only area in Japan to produce cutting tools, numbering over 60 kinds.

It's said that over 90% of the world's coffee drip pods are made in/by Tsubame-Sanjyo. Tsubame-Sanjyo Trade Show 2018 introduced special selections of coffee tools such as drip pots, servers and mills manufactured by Tsubame-Sanjo.
