The Japan External Trade Organization Sydney and the Australia-Japan Research Centre at the
Crawford School of Economics and Government of the Australian National University, are pleased
to invite you to a half-day seminar on the 'Roadmap Towards Economic Integration in East Asia'.
The seminar provides the first occasion in Australia to explore the recent progress towards
the establishment of ERIA, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, which is a
unique, policy-oriented research institution that enhances the wider economic integration of East
Asia. The seminar’s keynote presentations and panel discussion will provide an opportunity to
exchange ideas on the benefits and potential that East Asian integration could bring to the
Australian economy. The seminar will also focus on ERIA's recent research on Services Trade
Liberalisation in the region.
