Case studies and Practical Actions for Australian and Japanese Businesses

 

On Tuesday August 25th of August The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and The Victorian Government held the ‘Japan-Victoria Business Forum.’ The Forum comprised of both seminar and targeted networking elements, and centredon Japan-Australia business opportunities and the offerings of regional Japan.

 

The Forum provided businesses across a range of sectors represented in a Japanese delegation information on the opportunities in the Victorian and wider Australian economy. The event also provided a platform for the delegation members to speak on the strengths, skills and know-how of their companies and the regions they are based in.

 

The Forum comprised of three sessions: presentations on Victoria and Japan’s unique economic relationship; a breakout session that divided attendees across the three represented sectors (Food & Agriculture, The Life Science/biotech industry and Tourism); and finally, a targeted networking session, aimed at providing attendees on both sides with tangible business outcomes.
