A new program starting in 2018, this project promotes business collaboration between Japanese companies and companies in various tech hubs across the US. As with other programs, mentoring, feedback, and key connections are provided. Selected Japanese startups are also provided with co-working desk space.
Three main services are provided to startups in collaboration with accelerators, VCs, incubators, etc.
- Support Japan's companies to enter major startup ecosystems in the US.
- Support US Startups to expand their business in Japan.
- Collect and dispatch the latest information related to industry trends and new movement in the various US startup ecosystems.
The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a non-profit organization that provides business support services to companies expanding to Japan. Since 2003, JETRO has supported more than 15,000 business investment projects and helped over 1,500 companies successfully invest in Japan. With the support of JETRO's dedicated staff, clients can incorporate their business; receive visa, immigration, and HR support; find dedicated office space; identify local government subsidies; get tailored market studies; and more.
